Delter Press

The Delter Press is an innovative method that provides a unique combination of immersion and pressure brewing, resulting in a clean, deliciously strong coffee. It uses a ‘Jet Seal’ injection brewing system, which separates water from the coffee grounds until pressure is applied.

RECOMMENDED GEAR

• Medium to fine ground coffee.

• Delter Press

• Water (filtered preferred).

• Rhino Bench Scale 2KG

• ACAIA Pearl Scale

PREP, POUR, ENJOY

1. Grind the coffee: medium to fine grind, similar to table salt. Or purchase Schibello Ground Coffee.
2. Measure the coffee and water: use 1:15 ratio (e.g., 20g coffee for 300ml water).
3. Add coffee and water: place paper filter in holder, rinse slightly with water to avoid any paper after taste.
4. Add coffee into the holder and screw on to the Delter Press.
5. Pour water into the Delter Press and place on top of the cup or carafe.
6. Bloom: slowly and gently push through about 30-60ml of water and wait 30 seconds.
7. Press and brew: press slowly and gently until all water is gone. The whole process should last around 1-2 minutes.
8. Serve: press down and pour immediately.

BREWER’S TIPS

• Use even pressure when pressing for uniform extraction.
• Let the coffee bloom for better results.
• Rinsing paper filter slightly to remove any residual paper flavour.

The coffee extracted with the Delter Press delivers a clean, crisp cup with a slight intensity. It’s less heavy than a French Press but still retains a certain depth.
