Play Briscola! The Schibello Way

For us, Briscola is more than a game — it’s a ritual. It’s for slow afternoons, full cups, and friendly rivalry.

1. Set the scene.
Gather your crew, brew a fresh pot, and clear the table. Every good game starts with good coffee.


2. Deal the cards.
Each player gets three cards. Flip one more face up next to the remaining deck — that’s your Briscola suit. Think of it as your favourite blend: bold, powerful, and always ready to lead the way.


3. Take your turns.
Players throw down one card each per round. The highest card of the leading suit wins… unless someone plays a Briscola. In that case, trump rules — just like espresso at 3pm. The winner of the hand is determined as follows:
  • If both play the same suit: highest card of that suit wins.
  • If one or more play a Briscola (trump): highest Briscola wins.
  • If neither condition applies: first card played wins.

 

4. Draw, sip, repeat.
After each round and the winner of the round has collected the cards thrown, draw a new card from the deck. Keep playing until there are no cards left — or until someone, in the heat of the moment, spills their coffee (we've seen it happen).


5. Count your points.
Aces and 3s are gold. Tot up your points at the end — the one with the most wins bragging rights, and maybe the last biscotti. There is a total of 120 points to be won. 

Ace (1) - 11 Points
3 - 10 Points
King - 4 Points 
Horse - 3 Points
Jack - 2 Points 
7, 6, 5, 4, 2 - 0 Points

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders typically arrive within:

  • 2-4 business days for metro areas 
  • Up to 7 business days for regional areas
  • Note for equipment – dispatch can take up to ten days then refer shipping times above

Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive a tracking number for updates.

What is Schibello Coffee’s returns policy?

If there’s an issue with your order, we’re happy to replace it if notified within 7 days of your delivery - photo evidence may be required. Due to the perishable nature of coffee, we cannot accept returns after this period.For coffee equipment, we offer 14-day returns if there is a fault with the product. Please refer to the individual product warranty for any issues beyond this timeframe.For assistance with returns, email us at reception@schibellocoffee.com.
